Fire Safety Week

This week is fire safety week.  We had a few firefighters come and talk to us about fire safety.  

The important message today was to make sure you have a plan in place at home in case you need to evacuate due to a fire.  Always make sure that you have 2 ways to get out (door or window).  

He also talked about smoke detectors and that if you do not have one in your house to call the fire station and they can install one for free.  

 The fireman showed us what he wears when he goes to a fire.  

He needs all these equipment to help keep him safe.

 We got to go outside and take a look at all the different things that are on a fire truck.
